MISSION STATEMENT
A mission for a church is a reflection of what God wants to accomplish through us to build His kingdom.
Our mission at Tri-City Church is to be Loving, Growing, and Sharing.
LOVING
Jesus made it made it clear to us that love for God and others is the greatest act of obedience. In fact, Jesus said the most important commandment is to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." He said the second most important command is to, "Love your neighbor as yourself." He concluded by saying, "There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:30-31)
Loving God and loving others is to be who I am. Love is to be what I say and what I do.
We recognize and are humbled to know that, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) We admire, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God!" (1 John 3:1a)
We believe that God is worthy of our unconditional and sacrificial love in our lifestyle worship of Him.
At Tri-City Church, our mission is to be a church that is LOVING.
GROWING
Through the active and consistent study of God's word, God will grow us spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
We understand that, "As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:10-11) We are thankful that, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
As we share life together as a church, Biblical fellowship will cause my relationships with others to grow.
By seeking to grow together, we "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." We also grow together by "not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but we encourage one another - and all the more as we see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
At Tri-City Church, our mission is to be a church that is GROWING.
SHARING
God has called all believers to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in desperate need of His love, grace, and mercy. We recognize that we have the ministry of reconciliation - that we are ambassadors for Christ - and that "God reconciled the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. He has committed to us the message of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:19)
We are committed as a church to sharing the Gospel as individuals and as a body of believers.
As people, we all have talents and abilities that we are to share with others. As Christians, we all have spiritual gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit that we are to share with others. If you are a Christian, then congratulations! You're gifted!
We believe that "each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10)
At Tri-City Church, our mission is to be a church that is SHARING.
