Exquisitely filmed in the Holy Land by Focus on the Family, Ray Vangder Laan's exciting video series elicits contemporary moral lessons out of historical events. For example, he demonstrates that in spite of Christ's being born under the shadow of Judean King Herod's great fortress, the kingdom of Jesus endures forever (unlike Herod's kingdom); or how first -century Jewish marriage customs illustrate Jesus' all to his bride, the church.
